My guess is $699, same as the HD6990, though some makers got greedy and want $750+
the EVGA FTW Hydro Copper version of the GTX 590 (i'm assuming they'll make one) will probably be $899, but holy hell that'll be a fast card.

Congrats JP! That's a sweet card. I saw an I7 chip the other day. I think it had 8 true cores. $999.00. To rich for my blood.

I believe you are referring to the Intel Core i7 Gulftown (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulftown_%28microprocessor%29) which is a Six Core CPU. With Hyper Threading it can run twelve treads at a time.

Man...ah...if only I wasn't so strapped at the moment. What a boost that would give the team to have 2 of those in each of our rigs, eh? ;)

I think I was just reading the comparisons with the AMD6990 and they were saying that the GTX590 pulls about 350W at full usage. You might want to add a little bit to be on the safe side.

But...I would never over volt it to such an extreme like they did without some serious water cooling. What they did to that card was honestly pretty stupid. If it had gone according to plan, they'd have had the fastest GPU in the world for a while...until it coughed. ;)
By the way, did anyone see the AMD Exec that came out on his blog and told NVIDIA "prove it!" about their "fastest GPU in the world" claim?
It ought to be very interesting to see what NVIDIA says to that, because his blog post sited several big review sites showing th 6990 ahead in Futuremark. I realize they trade blows in a lot of games, but I'm just curious how they'll answer that one.

Haha yeah i saw it here. (http://http://www.legitreviews.com/news/10358/) Thought it was pretty funny and i'm curious too. Legally, they can get away with it, because saying you're the fastest in the world is a matter of opinion, but if NV actually decides to prove it, it should be fun to watch.
