I'm taking out my older quad pc and building a new webserver tonight. It doesn't have enough Ram but I can remedy that later.

Once that is up and running I'll rebuild the current one with the new drives and put it back online.

That one is back running right now but may fall over again. I'm out for the next few hours but will get started after that..

The current machine is a much better mobo and has 12Gb Ram so I'd prefer to keep that one as the main webserver but this way I'll have a backup webserver running which I'll rsync daily.

I make that 6 hours at this now.

Quick update :)

After 4 re-installs on 3 different drives I gave up on the current webserver. smartd just keeps giving errors. It can't be the drives as the odds on 3 new ones all failing is close to 0. So I think the mobo has issues with the SATA channels. I've tried using different ones to no avail.

So, I gutted my older Win XP box. Took out the GTX460 For now (sorry DrPop!). Took out the 2Gb Ram and replaced it with 2x2Gb (it only has 2 DDR2 slots :( ) (NOTE TO SELF: I NEED TO PUT AT LEAST 8Gb IN)

Put in one of the 750Gb WD Black drives I have and re-installed. No problems.

Rebooted and then added the older drives - mounted the partitions under /mnt and started copying stuff over.

started up mysql and configured users. Imported the setiusa db first.

configured apache for setiusa. Started it up.

Failed. php error, had to upgrade php. Installed the atomic repo and upgraded php to v5.3, works now..

So this is the only site back up right now.

Going to take a break as I am wrecked right now. Will check stats but it should mostly work. Graphs probably don't as I haven't re-installed chartdirector but that's minor.

++++1 on both counts. YOUR site should always come first as a TON more people rely on Free-DC.

And Thanks again......
