In case you hadn't noticed, the latest batch of GetDecic WUs have much longer run times than usual (2 days on a fast host). Because of this, some users turned off this app in their preferences, in favor of the much faster GetBoundedDecics.

In the short term, we are more interested in the GetDecics results. So as an extra incentive to get users to run the GetDecics app, we are granting 50% more credits to all successful GetDecics results. This will be for a short time, until the current batch (14x121) is complete. For those who don't know how to select the app, goto your account and click "NumberFields@home preferences"; the rest should be easy.

I'm sure they will take some heat from DA for this. He does not approve of any adjustment for credits for "special incentives".

Seems to me that using credit as an incentive should be perfectly reasonable if it is a real project need. As long as the credit incentive matches the need. But I'm not DA.

Well as long as DA cannot stop them then all they have to do is ignore his complaints...... :))

Finished 6 tasks so far. They took about 36 hours to run, and granted about 133 c/h. Not bad at all!

Nice! You're completing them pretty fast. My 2600k only does them in 43 hours, but it's ok as the c/h is the same.

As an MM'r I don't focus on the highest paid projects, but I do like to jump on the projects with temporary credit boosts. You never know when it will happen again for that project. Causes a quandary for me... how long to stay on this is the question.
