Just put the last 660 ti that has been running Collatz for the last 4 days on it!!! So I have 4 GPU's running on there, not much but I am tied up cpu wise on NFS.

Is an app_config needed or do the Einstein apps now keep the GPU busy?

Just go to your preferences and change the GPU utilization factor. .5 for two tasks .33 for three etc.

Just switched my HD 6950 and my HD 7520G over.

I am GPU crunching but that 0.5 on preferences doesn't work for me.

Well my pendings have finally leveled off in the low 800's. Only 183k behind the French now!

Duke, after changing the utilization factor you have to download more tasks for it to take effect. You also need around 400GB per task. My old GT240 can only crank out one per hour.

That makes sense Bikermatt. I have more than enough to make three at a time but I will try two for now. The Hd5700 can go till 1450MHz. I will wait to finish this one I am doing and go for it. Thanks.

If the web setting doesn't work you can use this app_config file. Provided you are using the development version of BOINC (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php). Make sure to change the name of the file to app_config.xml before you put the file into the BOINC project folder for Einstein.

Yes! I have my 660 ti and 670's running two at a time. The 660 ti takes around 40 min and the 670 around 34 min per wu. I'm not sure what their load is cause I'm running them in linux but they are running 8-9c cooler than gpu grid tasks which usually run in the high 90s so I think they are around 90% load. The 7950s were running 2 in 25min at 82% load and I am now running 3 in around 34min at 92% load.

Now if only this guy would run out of bunkers...

I just remember something, I am using 99% of computation on preferences for the computer maybe I shouldn't use 0.5 but a bit less or not?

I ramped up too late:mad: but I didn't know we were in it until a few hours after it started and I have only been all out for 24 hours. If I would have got enough tasks for the whole challenge in the first day it would be a different story. I am now up to 1400 tasks pending.

Oh well, I always wanted to see what I could do on Einstein and this gave me a good excuse. I'll be back to gpu grid and NFS for the rest of that challenge this afternoon.
