To finish the 10M770 in this grant period, the 64-bit Linux 16e v5 sieving speed needs to triple for the next couple of months. If you have a 64-bit linux machine free, please consider contributing to the sieving. If you are contributing using 64-bit linux computers, consider changing their "location" in the host details screen linked from http://escatter11.fullerton.edu/nfs/hosts_user.php to a currently unused one, then setting that location to get only lasieve5f workunits in your NFS@Home Preferences at http://escatter11.fullerton.edu/nfs/prefs.php?subset=project. Finally, let other potential contributors know that we can use their help for the next two months. Thanks!

Looking at the progress of the 16e and 16e V5 wu's both need more help. So we are talking about windows and linux users with at least 1.3 GB per thread.

10M770 is the hardest number under sieve or sieved by NFS@Home.

Here's the status. 680k wu's to crunch!!!!
Last 16e Lattice Sieve application wu received is at ~q=287M (goal to 1000M)
Last 16e Lattice Sieve V5 application wu received is at ~q=1134M (goal to 1800M)

Is this a Linux only sub-project? If so, I wonder how hard it would be to setup a VM or dual boot on the XEONs? How bad do you need the help at this point?

On my way. Going 50% in for the next 2 days and I may as well go all in after that, to see if I can beat Greg to First User to 100 Mil. :)

So, it looks like Greg got Syracuse U to pony up about 500K daily. And his production has gone up by about 300K daily. I wonder how much of that "triple" that represents. 800K represents about 80% of doubling the total daily output of the project, but there's no telling how much of that before and after is the Linux 16e v5.
