Einstein: Syracuse University moves into first place!
Congratulations to Syracuse University, which has passed the AEI E-Science Group to move into FIRST PLACE among Einstein@Home contributors. Syracuse University has now contributed more computer cycles to the Einstein@Home search than any other participant. Thank you Syracuse!! Bruce Allen Director, Einstein@Home

Hrummpphhh...if only the had better credit I would love to be the #1 contributing team. Their science is awesome, but why so stingy with the payout? It's not like it "costs" them anything to give a half-way decent credit for time crunched! :)
Re: Einstein: Syracuse University moves into first place!
Agreed. In fact, they should pay MORE than others, since they also require so much CPU. For example, you can run 3 tasks on a 7970, but only if you give it .5-1 CPU cores per task. Yikes!
Re: Einstein: Syracuse University moves into first place!
So you guys run for the credit and not for the goal of the project....

To those who do that we call Credit-Whores Carlos but at the same time, the credits should be proporcional to the amount of crunching each one gives. here goes one article with the titlle: "BOINC: Why you should care about the credit-system"

Re: Einstein: Syracuse University moves into first place!
I crunch it regardless. Since Asteroids went to 100% error now on all Android WU's, I have steered one of my phones there. Yeah, I know, not much at all, but I still love the project and they have a number of sub-projects now that is good for the WUProp people.

Yup. Finding some pulsar a bazillion light years away is cool, but getting more credits than everyone else is cooler.
