    The Zen 2 CPUs launch in April. Even though TR uses the same dies, it will be a few months later, but before december

    And yeah, an overclocked TR can draw around 500W so a minimum of a 240mm liquid cooler is recommended. Though if you want some overkill (and future-proofing to handle TR2's potentially higher clocks and increased thermals if AVX2 works better), check out NZXT's brand new Kraken X72. Sexy. They start shipping tomorrow.

    Edit: Also just announced that the TR 2000 (2018 release, 12nm), 3000 (2019 release, 7nm) and 4000 series (2020 release, 7nm/5nm) will be compatible with the same socket as current TR, though there would be benefits to chipset upgrades, such as PCIe 4.0.
