    550TI

    http://http://www.tigerdirect.com/ap...839&CatId=3669

It's only got the 192 stream processors but for the price this should make a pretty good card. Any thoughts before I jump? I need to fill the 3rd pci-e slot in my motherboard. Currently have GTX 460 and GTX 260 both factory oc'ed.

    Stream Processors: 192

    Core Clock: 910 MHz

    Memory Clock: 4104 MHz

    Shader Clock: 1820 MHz

Or should I try this one with the higher memory clock and shader clock. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...41125&csid=_21

    Core Clock: 951 MHz

    Memory Clock: 4356 MHz

    Shader Clock: 1903 MHz

about 1% slower then a 260 uses 1/2 the power I updated my Nvidia List with this card.

I'm not going to tell you what to do with your money, but for the same $$$, it won't hold a candle to what a GTX 460 will do with 336 CUDA processors. Same money. Your choice, of course.

Seems like the GTX 460 is the better card for the money. OK, I will start looking for a deal on one of those. I just have the itch to have 4 GPS's in the box since I have 3 slots.

Yeah, it's just the sweet spot for $ / credit right now. If you have the extra $ and PSU juice, then a 470 or even a 570 are VERY competitive for the insane credits they produce. But...going to be more $ up front and more electricity for sure, so ... has to be enough all the way around to go that route.

Here's one on Ebay - I have one of these exact same models.

Also, if you live by a FRY's Electronics, then you can get one for $110 after rebate - details here

A recertified PNY one from Newegg for $125 here

And lastly, I have one of these - ASUS GTX 460 - $125 after rebate from Newegg.

Hope that helps a little, and happy hunting!

Dang DrPop do you shop much .

I like the 460 for what it is as well, They have a huge following. I personally am more of a 465/470 guy of your going to go to 4 though I can tell you at 2 the room is about 10f warmer then the rest of the house they produce a lot of heat. the 460 is probably better if your going to go with more then 1.

Ok...pulled the trigger on this one. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...388&CatId=3669
Should do some crunching and with the rebate and $10 gift card it it priced right. Now all I will need is the instructions to bump it up to the GTX 470.

Thanks. Don't know what happened but I got it corrected. Now I can sit back and wait with baited breath and a beer in each hand.
