    FF Exstention??

    Hey guys..

Is there a FF exstention that can create the same desktop shortcuts like Chrome can? I use Gmail and Calendar - and I am very fond of the nice desktop shortcuts that Chrome can create.....Just wish that FF could do the same...

Each browser or other internet system has his own extensions. For Firefox you can see in here

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/

But if you search for "FF extensions for Gmail" you can get a lot of them mainly for Firefox. I don't know if I understand correctly what you want, is that it?

Not sure if it's quite what you want, but isn't that almost the same as bookmarking the page you want and dragging it from your bookmarks menu onto your desktop? Doesn't look like it's as easy to pin it to your application bar at the bottom of the screen, but close enough?

Almost the same Mumps. But the Chrome desktop shortcut has no navigation line, no tools on the top. Just a plain simple window with direct contact to the app needed. That way it works just like a program installed on the computer.

    Hey Beer,

The reason that feature, hiding navigation bar (Nav Bar), is not in FF is security related ---> http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/sh...24&postcount=6

There is a FF add-on to hide the nav bar by pressing the F2 key ---> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...ar/?src=search
Hide all GUI bars with a customizable key shortcut (default is Ctrl-Shift-A) ---> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...rs/?src=search

For FF 4 there is an extension to mimic Google's feature - Article (Link) - Download (Link)
