    Heterogenous compute by AMD?

Here is the interesting article: http://www.anandtech.com/show/5847/a...ds-manju-hegde

Now, what I wonder is with his points, especially in that the GPU onboard will be able to run C++ and share programmable memory address pointers and cache with the CPU...could we FINALLY see all these "CPU ONLY" BOINC projects be run on some sort of GPU? Talk about a speed increase.

    Re: Heterogenous compute by AMD?

As I am not a programmer, I cannot answer. But that was a great article!

From that article I can see how nVidia will lose significant market share in the years ahead. With Intel going its own way and AMD acquiring ATI, nVidia is left on a lurch. Their salvation might have to come from the likes of VIA or ARM.
