The cost of the hardware is nothing compared to the cost of running it. Peanuts!

I seem to recall the power bill is something along the lines of $1400/month...

Usually it's under $1000, last month's was only $813, a lot depends on how much I have to run the AC in the Summer & the Furnace in the Winter ...

Oh, I added another 580 yesterday and have 1 more coming, I also have 2 more 460's coming ...

That's insane performance from the 580's. Looking at your host here, that's showing dual 580's ? And 1.2M per day...

Yes, that's about right for a pair of slightly Overclocked 580's, a pair of OC'ed 460's can pull down 600k+ ...

Wow - that's impressive. Are those additions to the fleet, or are you subbing in NVidia for ATI now?

Just Subbing in for now, have 5 5850's and 4 5870's laying around waiting for their turn to do some work ... I was going to get some newer NVIDIA Fermi Card's anyway to run the GPUGrid Project more and along came the ppsieve & tpsieve Wu's which pay much more than the GPUGrid Project does so I'm making Hay while I can at the PrimeGrid Project ...

That's awesome. I would be all ATI if it weren't for GPUGrid. Though I'm surprised you can have that many cards lying around without you visibly shaking from the anticipated credit return...
