    Just bought a secondhand SSD

    Hey team..

I just purchased a Samsung 830 SSD secondhand here in Denmark:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820147137

The disk is 3 months old, and itīs therefore still under warranty.

I paid 85$ - Is that a OK price, or have I been "wiped"???

Sounds like a good deal to me and heard nothing but good things from the samsung 830 ssd on review sites. I payed more for my 128g OCZ A3 think it was close to 150$ but that was last year.

    Performance

Max Sequential Read: Up to 520 MB/s

Max Sequential Write: Up to 320 MB/s

4KB Random Read: Up to 80,000 IOPS

4KB Random Write: Up to 30,000 IOPS

    MTBF: 1,500,000 hours

Seems pretty decent to me 86% of Newegg reviewers have given it 5 stars. It's pretty rare for anything to be rated that high. Saving $25 off the price for something that was barely used is always nice as well. Congratulations!

Power Consumption (Active): 0.15W Is that right? Holy crap that's low, even for a SSD!

Just lately got the 256 version for my HTPC, seems decent so far. I don't even have SATA III, it was more about noise and vibrations. Seen the the 128 for 90€ new, but prices are falling and with almost full warranty you should be happy.
