@Dorsilfin - man, that is just insane. I wish they had an ATI optimized code version...you are going to be burning up this PG Challenge compared to my 5870 & 5850. Ah...oh well. Good luck to you in the stats!

Primegrid right now.. just breaking the system in with a nice hard run
for PG's PPS app, ATI 6970 sucks at.... took 27 min 13 sec for 1 WU with Aqua running 100%. after this app, I will run w/o aqua running and see if theres a difference. After that I will try MW.
w/o aqua, got 26min 50 sec for the WU.
ill keep PG until the challenge is over.

On the PG forum there is a lot of chatter about that very thing. For PG the CUDA code is just more efficient at this point in time. That card will rock DNETC, Collatz and MW as I'm sure you know.
seems the recent bios update for my mobo fixed the multi GPU bug it had. Im now running both the ATI 6970 and nvidia 295 concurrently on PG.
Tank, would you please try that new 6970 on DNETC after the PG challenge is over and let us know the WU times? Thanks. They are the first to sport a new app that specifically addresses the new architecture in the 6xxx series, I think. Unfortunately, to know which card you have, the BOINC client needs to tell the server and the server also has to know about it. Since all that crap is hard-coded in the boinc apps, that means using a 6.12.xx client (which have some pretty big work scheduler issues at the moment) and convincing the project admins to upgrade the server software (not a minor undertaking since DA keeps moving all the code around which makes it a PITA to merge in the project specific changes.
My 6970, which finally arrived last night, shows as "ATI Unknown" and is getting send the "5xxx" WUs from DNETC. I don't know if they have "6xxx" specific WUs or not.
