    Cool Gentoo and 7.2

After many whiny (including myself) users submitted bug reports to Gentoo that requested version bumps to the latest "approved" version of BOINC, and after all of those reports got marked as duplicates, the devs there decided to skip both 7.0.65 and 7.1 altogether and jump to version 7.2. Apparently, there were "multiple vulnerabilities" with all of the 7 series and those vulnerabilities are apparently addressed in 7.2.0. It's weird that Gentoo went from weak support to all out bleeding edge. I checked the Git repository (they don't use svn anymore) to confirm that 7.2 even exists.

So far, the boinc daemon died on my 2 Intel machines. On the AMD machine it's still going. That's kind of pathetic considering I'm only running NCI.

Not sure I would consider any 7.x.x version stable at this point.
