    Network monitoring

Is there a SW package (preferably free) that will log IP calls made by a machine? What I'm looking for is something that can detect and log embedded IP calls like when a project uploads WU after completion. Sometimes the executable sends the WU back to a different address than the project site so that is why you have to block a range instead of a single IP address.

I know nothing about it, but now I am curious too. I found this:

A few more suggestions in the comments section too.

Edit: I assume you are loosing for something on windows.

The client state file should have both the project url and the upload/download urls listed in it. That won't help if there are multiple DNS addresses for the servers (e.g. a web farm) but it is a start.
