Got HD4000 going; am I doing it right?

After some "fiddling" I finally was able to get my intel hd4000 as well as my primary gtx 560 crunching in boinc. For posterity I had to backdate the driver to CL1.1 and then forward to present driver which was Cl1.2 (of course). I also had some trouble using the HDMI port instead of the Display port, but I think that was when prior to current setup.

Anyways I took a screen shot of boinc and OHM that shows my igpu power consumption...seems low. Also i think i have it set to 256MB of vram in the BIOS for the igpu, does this need to be cranked up?

Is there an igpu utility that can tell me current FLOPS?

I don't know about a FLOP-reporting utility for your integrated graphics chip, but 15 watts is the max your HD 4000 will run. That's 10 times less power than your gtx 560, so the HD will not produce near the output of the GTX, but the HD will do better than one cpu from your machine crunching the same project, assuming "credit new" doesn't change this basic relationship (which I don't know).

BTW, I reserve a thread for crunching with the igpu and another one for the external graphics card. Whether or not one or both are necessary, others will have to say.

GPU-Z will show load for the Intel HD series (MSI Afterburner does not). If the load is not close to 100%, try reserving a thread and/or increasing VRAM. Different apps require different amounts, so I always keep mine maxed out.
