    How awesome is this!?

And that is not a sarcastic comment.

Chrissie Hynde Pretenders - Stop Your Sobbing - Live on Letterman

    • Chrissie Hynde looks great, sounds great, great performance all around!
    • Paul S dorky as ever!
    • Letterman younger and actually enthusiastic!
    • The 80s STYLE! Thank god I don't have to wear a too-tight jacket with the sleeves shoved up any more. ;D

Re: What are you listening to?

I saw them live in San Diego back around 1988.
It was one of those concerts where everyone was dancing and mellow.
    It was a good concert.

    "One"

    I Can't Remember Anything
Can't Tell If this Is True or Dream
Deep down Inside I Feel to Scream
    this Terrible Silence Stops Me
Now That the War Is Through with Me
I'm Waking up I Can Not See
That There's Not Much Left of Me
Nothing Is Real but Pain Now

Hold My Breath as I Wish for Death
    Oh Please God,wake Me

Back in the Womb its Much Too Real
in Pumps Life That I must Feel
but Can't Look Forward to Reveal
Look to the Time When I'll Live
Fed Through the Tube That Sticks in Me
    Just like a Wartime Novelty
Tied to Machines That Make Me Be
Cut this Life off from Me

Hold My Breath as I Wish for Death
    Oh Please God,wake Me

Now the World Is Gone I'm Just One
Oh God,help Me Hold My Breath as I Wish for Death
    Oh Please God Help Me

    Darkness

    Imprisoning Me
    All That I See
    Absolute Horror
    I Cannot Live
    I Cannot Die
    Trapped in Myself
    Body My Holding Cell

    Landmine

    Has Taken My Sight
    Taken My Speech
    Taken My Hearing
    Taken My Arms
    Taken My Legs
    Taken My Soul
Left Me with Life in Hell
I remember the day back in 1985, a buddy came over with a cassette tape and said, " You got to hear this "
It was the Metallica album "Master of Puppets"
That was and still is great weight lifting music right there.
Back then in California, Metallica became probably the biggest underground rock band there ever was.
They never got played on the radio or on the new mtv or any tv period.
Nobody would touch it, not even KLOS radio in L.A.

It wasn't until that "One" video" that you posted a few years later the band got into the mainstream.
The band was hugh before that video everywhere for years.
I saw the "Justice for All" tour went it went thru San Diego in 1989 think it was.
    It was wild.
That was the first time I saw a "Mosh pit" and stage diving.
The "floor" is not a good place to be at these types of concerts

Re: What are you listening to?

I first saw Metallic at the Monsters of Rock Tour in Arrowhead Stadium on July 10th, 1988, in Kansas City, Missouri.

    It was HOT!!!
They had fire hoses shooting into the crowd to cool them off and cut down on the heat related medical attention.

    The bands were:

    Kingdom Come
    Metallica
    Dokken
    Scorpions
    Van Halen

Sammy Hagar climbed up most of the 3 story speaker array while singing.
The Bass was so intense in the stadium that it was vibrating my internal organs.

It was my first experience witnessing naked female crowd surfing.
