The discovery was made by John Christy of the United States using an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31220 @ 3.10GHz with 8GB RAM running Linux. This computer took about 1 hour 27 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. John is a member of the USA team. The prime was verified on 23 September 2014, 21:47:43 UTC, by Patrick Martin (ptube974) of the United States using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz with 8 GB RAM running Linux. This computer took about 4 hours and 22 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. Patrick is a member of the Overclock.net team.
