We have used the preliminary results acquired while testing the project to
estimate the probability of observing such rare objects as ULXs.

The plot above shows the number of systems (in logarithm) with a particular
mass of the accretor and X-ray luminosity. These results are very interesting
and promising for two reasons. First of all, we achieved luminosities as large
as 10^45 ers/s whereas stronges observed sources have only 10^42 erg/s!
Secondly, a large number of systems have neutron star as an accreting object
(acreator mass < 3 solar masses). This is very questionable as we observe
mostly black holes (accreator mass > 5 solar masses). This may suggest that
either our models need improvement or somehow this population is hidden from
our sight. Nevertheless, a thorough investigation is needed.

U?yli?my wst?pnych wyników z testów projektu by okre?li? jakie jest
prawdopodobie?stwo zaobserwowania tak rzadkich obiektów jak ULX-y.
Obrazek powy?ej przedstawia ilo?ci systemów z dan? mas? obiektu akreuj?cego
(akretora) i dan? jasno?cia rentgenowsk?.
Poza
tym, olbrzymia ilo?? systemów zawiera w sobie gwiazdy neutronowe (masa akretora
< 3 mas s?o?ca). Jest to do?? zagadkowe poniewa? obserwujemy g?ównie czarne
dziury (masa akretora > 5 mas s?o?ca). Mo?e to sugerowa?, ?e albo nasze modele
wymagaj? jeszcze znacz?cych udoskonale? lub olbrzymia cz??? populacji jest z
jakiego? powodu schowana przed naszymi obserwacjami. Problem wymaga w ka?dym
razie dalszych bada?.
