I'm getting a new status message for some WUs: "Postponed: Waiting to acquire lock"

What does it mean? Anyone know? I'm seeing it on a Collatz GPU task and a QCNish NCI task...

Each of your boinc slots folders will have a boinc_lockfile in it. The WU running out of that slot needs to keep that file allocated to itself. If it loses that connection to that file, you'll get that message. It's sometimes caused by other tasks that think they are running in that slot, or a task that spawned some children processes that didn't terminate when the WU exited so the next WU can't create/grab that lockfile.
