Web based. No conflict with GPOU crunching. Free version supports multiple PCs so unless you need remote file copy, the free version is all you need.
    +1

I've been using this for 6 months now and love it.

GPU BOINC crunching does not get along we'll with the built in windows app. Avoid.

Any VNC will do fine. I use ultravnc.

Do you use ultraVNC alone or as an add-on to NeoRouter?

Windows Remote Desktop just took out one of my best GPU rigs. I won't be able to get to it for another week due to my traveling! Logmein is not an option for me due to firewall restrictions. I suppose if remotely install VNC then I might be able to log in through that and restart BOINC.

I want to get this sorted out a couple of days before the DiRT challenge, because that will take all my gpu rigs.

I use UltraVNC (Link) to manages my boxes remotely but it can be a hassle trying to install using another remote program. I would suggest TeamViewer (Link) instead. Uses port 80 (HTTP) for communication so your firewall won't be an issue.

    Re: Remote desktop programs.

I run my machines remotely for 6 to 8 months a year (we go south for the winter) and I use TeamViewer. I've never had a problem with it.

What I do is install BoincTasks on 1 computer (the main one I tie into remotely) and control the other machines from that 1 machine. You can not start/stop BOINC (except on the host) but you can do ALL other BOINC control on the other machines from BoincTasks.

Likewise on TeamViewer. I log into my main computer by phone and can control them all with BoincTasks.
