Re: Suggestions for PWM fan speed controller
Got the thing installed, but my fans are just going full blast. Could that be caused by connecting 2 different size fans? I connected the slowest one to the master (red) slot. Perhaps the board is just messed up? When I only had one fan connected it was hit and miss with the fan starting up at boot. Well, no danger of it getting too hot in the case.

Re: Suggestions for PWM fan speed controller
What motherboard fan header did you connect it to? If it's not a CPU/System header, you'll need to manually adjust the fan settings in BIOS. Otherwise they'll run at the default speed which is usually wide open.

Re: Suggestions for PWM fan speed controller
It is a PWM header, but it's a Gigabyte board, which I've read has a "feature" that prevents speed control if the power and ground pins aren't connected. There are no bios settings for that header, other than sensing speed (which is why I know it's at full speed).
