    OK. So I'm not very techie when it comes to hardware.
    In the Widows 64 OPTI Apps, any idea of what the avx, avx2, and sse designations are trying to tell me?"
    Are they referring to a processor type?

    Edit: OK did some research.
    I have an Ivy Bridge i7-3770K CPU

    It supports the following instructions:
    MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, Intel 64, NX, VMX, AES, AVX

    I assume SSE is the older instruction set for compatibility.
    I have no AVX2 on the list. (I'm not a Haswell)
    Therefore, I'm going to try the rakesearch_windows_64_avx file.

    Does that sound logical?
