    New RMA Rates

*Statistics by brand based on a minimum sample of 500 sales, though it is usually well over 10,000 sales.
*Statistics by specific model based on a minimum of 100 sales, though it is usually well over 500 sales.
*The reporting retailer(s) are kept anonymous.

    * The (against) notes are to compare what the RMA percentage was on the last report. This way you can see if a brand is trending better or worse.

So, if it says Corsair, run away screaming.

But, for SSD's, how can OCZ end up on the "best" list when they've littered the Worst list with all their various models? Are there *only* 6 Players for SSD's?

The vast majority of OCZ SSDs sold are the Vertex series, which are actually pretty good. They drastically lessen OCZ's overall RMA rate, thogh they are still the worst of the best with 6.64% average of all OCZ SSDs being RMA'd.

Edit: The data is a bit incomplete, such as EVGA being missing from the GPU list. All that means is the reporting retailers either don't carry those brands, or they sold fewer than 500 units of those brands so the data was disqualified as not being a large enough sample to be accurate.

I agree with that only a tad. Their RAM QC was as bad if not worse then their SSD QC. The truth is their CEO was cutting way too many corners just to gain market share, but ended up burning the candle at both ends. When he finally wanted to go high end with their home grown Barefoot 3 controller (Link) it was too late.

    Re: New RMA Rates

Some interesting info out on hard drives (and only hard drives). Here's a graph showing how many drives are still working 3 years into their lives. The testing was done using over 28,500 hard drives from all 3 brands of various capacities.

    Re: New RMA Rates

Just curious if your RMA Rates for RAM includes "Edge Memory." I have a vendor trying to sell me some of that RAM and saying he's had better RMA rates with Edge than Kingston...
