One of my rigs is running Server 08 and I'm trying to install a TP Link TL-WN822N wireless adapter. I am unable to get this to work. I've enabled the wireless LAN feature within the OS and I've checked online for solutions; however, their solutions aren't working. The installer says that it can't install on this platform; although, online solutions claims it is suppose to work.

A wired connection isn't an option; however, I could install Windows 7 on this rig if all else fails but I don't have a license.

Any thoughts?

Windows server good if you have more than 2 processors, I run server 2012 on a few because they have 4 processors.
You can install windows 7 and it will run fine without activation

This one has dual Xeon processors, 8 cores. So Windows 7 will handle those fine?

Yes, windows 10 8 and 7 can run dual processors.

you don't need to activate, the screen will turn black after 30 days but you can still crunch, won't update after that.

My server is up and running again. Just one more rig to go.
