On 20 February 2017 14:39:06 UTC, PrimeGrid’s PPS Mega Prime Search project found the Mega Prime: 677*2^3369115+1 (http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=123022) The prime is 1,014,208 digits long and will enter Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database (http://primes.utm.edu/primes) ranked 202nd overall. The discovery was made by Wolfgang Schmidt (Artist (https://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=29825)) of Germany using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 @ 3.40GHz with 16GB RAM, running Linux. This computer took about 54 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. Wolfgang is a member of the Special: Off-Topic (http://www.primegrid.com/team_display.php?teamid=1561) team. The prime was verified on 21 February 2017, 15:15:01 UTC by Hans-Jürgen Bergelt (Hans-Jürgen Bergelt (https://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=139913)) of Germany using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz with 8GB RAM, running Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Edition.
