I am currently using a couple of those closed-loop radiators on this mobo. One of them is making a groaning noise, and the machine has become unstable. I am going to replace them both with a normal heatsink/fan assembly. It's not like I am overclocking the thing, so that should be fine.

But it's been many years since I bought a heatsink/fan assembly.

Can someone please recommend one? As I said, I am not going to OC them, so I son't need great performance. I also don't really care about the cost, as they are very likely going to be cheaper than the expensive radiator-style I bought before.

More important to me is that it is long lasting, and QUIET.

I want to get this thing up and running quickly for the challenge. So time is a factor.

TIA!

I used the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO also. Quiet is subjective though. http://a.co/hK2kCFa

I'm also using the EVO 212s on the dual Xeon machines. Very little noise outside the case.

I have 2 of the 212s, solid choice.
