On 12 May 2017, 19:12:52 UTC, PrimeGrid’s PPS Mega Prime Search project found the Mega Prime:1049*2^3395647+1 (http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=123369)The prime is 1,022,195 digits long and will enter Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database (http://primes.utm.edu/primes) ranked 203rd overall. The discovery was made by Randall Scalise (Randall J. Scalise (https://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=8634)) of the United States using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz with 4GB RAM, running Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise Edition. This computer took about 1 hour 36 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. The prime was verified on 14 May 2017 09:32:20 UTC, by Sven Lünser (TheWickedSvene (https://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=127769)) of Germany using an AMD Phenom(TM) II X6K 1100T CPU with 16GB RAM, running Linux. This computer took about 2 hours 43 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR.
