On 5 August 2017 02:19:51 UTC, PrimeGrid’s PPS Mega Prime Search project found the Mega Prime: 907*2^3417890+1 (http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=123812) The prime is 1,028,891 digits long and will enter Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database (http://primes.utm.edu/primes) ranked 197th overall. The discovery was made by Randall Scalise (Randall J. Scalise (https://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=8634)) of the United States using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40GHz with 16GB RAM, running Linux. This computer took about 1 hour 2 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. The prime was verified on 5 August 2017 02:48:34 UTC by Seonghwan Kim (ext2097 (https://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=111189)) of South Korea using an Intel(R) Xeon(R) E3-1231 v3 CPU @ 3.40GHz with 4GB RAM, running Linux.
