Like she actually had a PLAN to screw up everyone's internet. I mean, we're talking about an OLD LADY! How deep of a hole could she have possibly dug? If I was her I'd be trying to find a way to sue the a-holes for arresting her AND the people that can't figure out how to put the fiber cable in the ground at a depth of more than 24 inches!

So THEY say.....they just want someone to blame their own stupidity on, instead of taking the blame for not doing their jobs right, but hiring unqualified contractors to do the work and they put the fiber cable just 6" in the ground where granny could get to it without her knowing.

I would bet Granny isn't going deeper than a foot or so...why they don't think to bury cables that important like 2 to 3 feet, I'll never understand.

Actually, don't forget. Even around the US, many times the cables are installed in readily accessible places, like in the sewers, where hoodlums can get access. Years ago, SETI was down for an extended period of time because thieves stole the copper that connected their labs to the main campus...

I mean, if anyone wanted to shut down the 'net at any time...all it would take is a few...and we would all have no way to contact each other, nothing. I mean who here knows many of our phone numbers, mailing address, etc? Probably not much. You kill the 'net and instantly even an entire team like our becomes lost...
