AMD RX Vega 56 worth it at $279?

I just saw this "news" (lol) article pop up on my phone - AMD dropped the price on the Radeon RX Vega 56 to $279 to compete with GeForce 1660 Ti...is it worth anything to us as crunchers at that price? I don't have any AMD GPUs anymore so I was just curious...:confused:

It's a great deal. It smokes the 1660 Ti in FP32 and FP64.
