I don't think NV cards work very well on moo. I tried it with some of mine and pulled them off. I only have a couple of old amd cards on it. they don't work very well either really.
Nvidia does really well on Moo. It pays poor at first, but after the server figured out your card's speed then it will get better. What you want to do is make sure you have Run test application checked. I found out that's the only way you can get opencl WUs. When you first start on the project, it will give you cuda30 WUs. Then after a few completed, it'll give you cuda60 ... then cuda70 ... and eventually opencl. You want to run opencl, not cuda. AMD cards get opencl WUs right off the bat. A 1070ti/1660ti will net about 1m points/day. The only AMD card that does well with Moo is the Radeon VII. Nothing else came close to Nvidia.

Thanks for the info on Moo and sorry to hijack the milestone thread for it! :o I'll give it a shot on the NV cards this week.
The majority of my Moo credits are coming from a friends machine that is running a [CUDA|GeForce RTX 2080 Ti|2|4095MB|44141|102].
cuda ran fine on Moo, but slower than OpenCL. 2080ti should do around 2.2m easy with OpenCL
I moved 2 1050 ti's over to see what they would do. I will give them a few days. and see how they compare to my old AMD card.

Well you can use all threads now. I had some machines that got better credits/day when I turned HT off, but others went down. So it is a crap shoot as to what works best. I was seeing about 2.7% of the WU not validate which isn't all that bad. It takes a minimum of 48 hours for the pendings to stabilize. They are now using fixed credit, 200/WU, and it pays fairly well.

What's the memory usage on this project? :D
@VietOZ - WuProp is showing 120M/WU on the short WU and 475 for the LONG ones. That's for the Linux app.

Here's a milestone that I've been working on for 13 months. From Architect to final inspection...we finally got our CO this morning on the house we built on our property for my in-laws. By tomorrow night they should be able to sleep in their own bed, in their own house. House building is quite a stressful adventure and one I will never do again...hopefully. Time to celebrate and have a beer or two.
FANTASTIC Al! That is a great accomplishment! So there is nothing left to do?
I'm sure all that's left is setting up the BOINC Data Center in their spare bedroom. :)

This one has 8 feet of headroom in about 25% of the space and the rest is a "bend slightly"...no crawling. It's also sealed and conditioned, so should make a good work area...or data center. Oh, final grading needs to be done, but that's it.

Yes it was and I'm done with that one. Where I normally use about 3-400Gb of data/month I'm at 9Tb so far this month. That was using a squid proxy to cut down on excess data transfers :D

There is a bonus for wuprop chasers. Instead of just upping the app version number, they rename the app with each batch. I get the impression that they are struggling with the way they should be using BOINC. In any case, this is translating into many more stars.

Must admit I don't really understand the credit at Gaia. If I take an average of the credit awarded * number of wu's validated I seem to have 10x as much credit.
Not complaining of course !!
@BOK - they adjusted the credits last night. What was happening was if you looked at the credits a WU was awarded and compared to what the "computer total" was credited with there was a huge difference. I started a new instance last night and the 1st WU was granted 12 credits but the computer showed 553 credits. I did 11M yesterday. :D
It appears they cut the credit by about 8X this morning. I've watched over the past 2 hours and it looks like I can do 1.4M/day now. Not bad but certainly not 11M. IF they had left it alone for 8 more hours I would have reached my goal and be done with it.
EDIT: I just started a new instance. The 1st WU granted 15.5 credits but the computer got 108 credits. So they are using a multiplier of 7 between WU credit and what is added to your account.

Major milestone for me. I finally have every active, full project (meaning not WUprop) over 1 million. It was a couple of months of heavy focus on Cosmology for me to get that last project over the 1 million mark. I know it is small potatoes for the majority of our team, but a big deal for me. So now I feel like I can finally get back to doing a better job on contributing to team goals and other more fun milestones like chasing a prime.

Back there in 2016 I was planning on returning. But life was not done with me yet. I had more troubles on my plate to deal with...But I am a strong man, and I succeded to overcome these troubles. But I has cost me alot...
Along with me getting fired, diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2 and my parents dying - in the then fell into depression and alcohol abuse. And that costed me my marriage.
So here I am. 47 years of age, living in a 527 ft2 apartment alone, but still have a job though. Taking it day by day, and I am slowly recovering to better days.No new girlfriend - I am not ready for that yet.
I have been thinking to get a small cruncher going, so that I at least have some sort of hobby.
Aw, man, So sorry to hear about your journey, but glad you are alive and pulling through. What a rough road. Please let me know if I can help at all with setting up a little cruncher or anything else. Some of these new chips are pretty efficient compared to all the old stuff we used to run (and what I'm STILL running)! :D
hey beer, sorry to hear about your problems over the past few years, most sorry to hear about the diabetes. I went through that about 15 years ago. now I live off or insulin. it will get me one of these days. not knowing where you are on treatment just remember there is an insulin pump out there for us old folks if the time comes. hope it doesn't for you.I use both a pump and a 24 hour blood monitor, sure makes things easier. I hated giving myself shots 4 or 5 times a day. give me a shout if I can help you through any of it.

That is a terrible road to go through, I have lived much of it myself so I know all too well. Stay strong, you've got this, keep pushing forward little by little.

I saw that too and tried attaching several (10) times and it locked up my network. I ended up having to detach and reattach to clear things. I tested a couple of machines with 3 and that seemed to work okay. All machines and extra instances are now running 3 without a problem. I'm a little afraid of trying to go any higher.
Dunno, I was running 30 instances on each of 7 computers w/o a problem. 50 per machine choked things :D

Yeah, agreed. As projects seem to fade away faster than they show up, Roestta is becoming a project that stays active at all times for me.
