Alright, I am about to start all the round-robin switch of all the GPUs tonight. I remember there was some talk of the latest NVIDIA CUDA drivers doing something bad for crunching like throttling...if I go with the 3 GTX 460's in the DrPop rig, for Win7 Ultimate 64 bit, which driver version is best? Should I stay with the older 266.58?

I'm running 266 and have experienced zero problems on PG. I can't speak to any other project but it certainly works well there.

I had to go back to 266, 270 was throttling WAY down, well below stock speeds and only a reboot could get the card up to speed again.

266 is working well for me. I haven't tried anything later, just what it happened to come with.
