That's a pretty cool record there, first team to 50Mil. Wonder if we'll have any more big races there with S.G. or not? Have to keep an eye on them and see what they're up to in the future. ;)

You pretty much need ppc64 (PS3) there to do well at the moment. Unless S.G. has an undeployed stash somewhere, I think we're in a good place.

By the way, anyone with a non-PS3-ppc64, I can get you crunching the PS3 app if you want (linux os required).

Yes, but you need to not have upgraded the firmware and have Linux installed...

No, seriously....I have been wathing SG for some time..I were told that they were doing some sort of raid - and it would end soon...Itīs dosenīt seem to be the case...So here I am...Defending! :)

I will go back for 100K at Spin later though..:cool:

ATM i am running Prima for Team Norway for the next day or two. So probably on Wednesday I will rejoin S.USA on Prima for the long haul.

You still (as far as I know) haven't confirmed whether or not your firmware has been updated in the past year. Have you followed the links in the PS3 tutorial section? Here is the first one.

OK I have been consistenly at position # 16 for SETI.USA, in QMC, Yea! :) Switching to Primeboinc now, still have to clear out the QMC wu's, but should be all on in a couple of hours. We have a RAC difficeintcy of about 500K, so we need some real CPU power here to save this #1 project.

Yes we are done with QMC please switch to primaboinc if you wish. I have switched and I'm in 16th place in team standings. See if you can beat that. :)

My son had bought one of the original PS3's that had the crappy blue ray and I never sent it in to get it fixed. Is it possible to get some use out of it ? Let me know, Patrick

AFAIK itīs only the old (non-slim) versions that can crunch. If it is one of those, I would not hesitate to contact Triggl!!

PLEASE do NOT update the firmware through Sony's network or you will lose the ability to install alternate OS a.k.a. Linux. Linux is what you need on it to crunch.
