With GPU's churning out big numbers, getting to a million a day does not seem like fantasy anymore. A million a day is quite an accomplishment and I wish to recognize you all in this thread. When you pump out a million a day post here so we can give you a shout.Something to shoot for.

You tell him Joker! I was happy contributing just under a million a day helping out another team when he twisted my arm and made me join this team. That's OK, but I was not aware that most of the daily Top Guns and MM's were way above that mark and I had to upgrade as well.

It's actually not totally accurate as there are some that are due to split CPID's. Chimichango for instance flip/flops every day and appears as a new user doing 60+ million.

Could possibly filter it based on row creation or something like that, I'd just have to add a new column to the table and populate it on creation (separate from the min(create_date) in the exported xml).

I am using a farm of 12 computers of different vintage all paid and own by myself. The truth is that in Australia only the pensioners can afford such luxury and I am one of them. It is not so much the cost and maintenance of the machines but the cost of power to run them that worries me. At the moment it costs me about $200.00 a week for Electricity even when I do not run all of them 24/7 and I have a 2KW Solar system as well.. Still, it is a hobby and all hobbies are costly...:)

After my cruise vacation in Nov and my wedding in April, I can divert a lot more funds to this.. however.. I'm itching to see what a C2070 tesla card will do in one of my boxes once it gets here.... I bet it will just zoom through cuda WUs

OMG! I wish I had your rates.

Running 4 machines, a gtx 590, gtx 260 and an amd 6970 run push my bill up to around $500 last month. Minus about $200 for the AC probably, so I"m guessing around $300. If not for my electrical bill I would have a lot more machines running.

I have 6 in the house here with a total of 14 cores ans 21 threads. 5 have GPUS, mostly older flavor. At work I have 11 cores with 16 threads and 1 GPU. My son is running about 6 machines with at least 4 GPU's. Not sure how many threads. All on my account.

Thanks! I had plans for more, but they will have to wait until I figure out my costs better. Sad thing is that I'm not working at the moment, but when I did have a job(went back to school), I had at least 5 machines running in my cube that could have been crunching for the team. Too bad I got back into boinc after that.

Have you considered using remote desktop software instead? I use UltraVNC to control 5 boxes in 3 different rooms in the house.

TeamViewer 9 has Linux, Win,and OS X versions and has built in host<-->remote clipboad and file transfer support and works even if the remote box is behind a firewall.

If you use the Chrome Browser, Google Chrome Remote Desktop is also an option.

LogMeIn now charges. Teamviewer is still free for personal use and now supports Linux as well as OS X and Windows although the Linux version runs from within Wine.

Well sorry guys, I'll admit, I slacked off there for a while, but not because I wanted to. I'm back at 1mill+ again and striving for more. Just put another 660 online last night. Looking to average 1.5m and change within the next couple days.

I've decided I'm gonna go rogue for a while though. Now that's not to say I'm leaving the team by any means, only my untimely demise could do that. I'm here for the long haul and you guys can put money down on any bet that says otherwise. It does mean however, I'm going project rogue, so, I don't know what I'll be crunching at any given time. I think I'm going to stick with Asteroids for a while though because they seem to be working out pretty well and don't cause problems with any of my boxes, so far.

My GPU time on specific projects will wander around a bit though. I think I have enough pending Primegrid WUs done to clear 300m on that project. So, for the time being, I've switched Gamera over to GpuGrid to get up on my credits over there. My other two boxes will still run PrimeGrids, at least for a while. They will move on to other projects as well, eventually.

Being summer, I may have to slow down the clock speeds on my GPUs to keep them happy and consistent crunchers. I will be bringing Rodan and Godzilla back up online line as time and funding permits. I may decide to go up a notch or two on the GPU boards with those two boxes, but for now the 660s are proving to be a great bang for the buck solution at this time.

Okay, I'll STHU now. I know I get rambling on about stuff.
