Media Help!

I am looking for something that I can hook up to my tv that will let me stream videos from my desktop via Ethernet cable. I am using my ps3 but it is giving me problems. cinavia :)


I looked at the asus eee pc but I figured i would ask yall first.

What software are you using to stream to the ps3 ? Have you tried the Playon Server (http://www.playon.tv/playon)

It works pretty well for me.. better than all the rest of them at least.

I am using PS3 Media Server to stream videos and movies that I downloaded off the net.

Our family has used this for a couple years now http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/home_entertainment/hd-media-player#tTabContentOverview

We use it wirelessly and it will play darn near anything. .mkv, .avi, .iso, etc. Once it's on the network, it will play from anyone's machine.
