Have you ever had the urge to take a 750 dollar piece of equipment apart?... I have

Cpu block on the board

Here is where I wanted to mount the reservoir when i started.. notice the GPU isnt installed

Where I ended up installing with Velcro
.. GPU was just a touch too long and there was not enough room between it and the HD cages to mount it.. Sigh..

Triple Radiator mounted up top with 3 fans exhausting (Case had the screw holes for this)

having a computer that is near silent... and way cooler then air.. Priceless.

it wasnt very difficult to put the items in.. we have all put cpu coolers on and all that jazz.. the only scary part was removing the heatsink off the gpu.. I mean really.. who in there right mind takes apart a 750 dollar high end GPU lol?..

While my measurement (Gpu card too long).. cause some stress of where the crap to put the reservoir, its in there with velcrow and honestly since it isnt a show peice. (Notice no dye in the fluid) who really cares how that thing is mounted?
The case did have all the holes for the Radiator up top which was nice, 1+. However internally im cramped.. I had to remove my HD trays to put the pump in the corner, there was not enough room under the GPU/next to the PSU to fit it there.
Theres not much room left for the reservoir, however if you were running a smaller card like the 570.. IT could probably fit between the GPU and HD racks like i had planned.

All in all.. you can read as many guides and youtube videos as you like.. for something like this you have to have the $ to pony up and just dive right in without remorse or concern about being cheap. Could I have done this for half the money?.. Possibly with subpar components that I wouldn't trust with a higherend build like this. Its like getting an amazing GPU and cpu and putting in that 1000 water PSU thats half the cost of the other 1000 watts with 50 bad reviews on new egg to save a few bucks..

Hope you enjoy!

Great pics DF.

Yeah, the reservoir issue is a bummer. There is a alternate solution for you. You could install a Drive Bay reservoir and then sell your current unit on eBay. Take a look at these. I'm impressed!

I had no idea you could fit everything inside the case and water cool both cpu and gpu. I expected to see a huge reservoir outside of the case.

I have this bookmarked as a template for my next gaming/boinc rig.

Thanks for sharing!

Yup ive already got one in mind

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_318_660&products_id=31234

it has a fill and a top entry port, so I can drop a line straight down from my radiator above, into the res. then 1 line out the back down to the pump.. And i could also use the fillport and put a line upto the "Fillport" on top of the HAF 932 case.. that I had to wonder what the crap is that for.. lol

just gotta check a few things over before pulling the trigger on that one. =)

Quite impressive build there!

Thanks for sharing these photos, it will help many members of the team.

Is there any chance that you could post these photos to the SETI.USA Facebook page as well? I bet it would inspire many of our silent team members to get building.

I remember my first WC system. Somehow I fit it all inside a MINI tower. Wish I had pics to show :(

Hey DF,

I really dig the new Rez! The windowed faceplate makes keeping tabs on levels easy. :-bd

Enjoy :D
