Looks Like Rain!

Anyone who lives in Northern Illinois will tell you that we had a very wet spring. When it finally dried up, we couldn't buy a drop. It hasn't really rained here for over 3 weeks. With the 90+ temps, everything was turning brown. Over night a line of storms developed and was heading our way. This morning it finally happened. Here's a shot from the famed Fermi-Lab. The burms on either side of the road are the buried tunnels housing the ring of magnets that guide the sub-atomic particles around the ring.

Very cool photography! Here's to hoping it cools you off a little! Nice and mild temps here at the SoCal beach area - partially foggy off the water with patches of sun and 69 degrees. Winds at 10Kts, perfect day for sailing...if only I had a boat to do it in! :D

Well the front rolled through my area, I had to shutdown all me computers (only 3), lightning strikes were quite close. Welcome change it took the temp from 96 degrees to 76 degrees, nice! Anyway I took a hit in production although as far as the team goes no big deal. I'm still crunching QMC mostly with a little Altmere Grid thrown in.
