"Filho é um ser que nos foi emprestado para um curso intensivo de como amar alguém além de nós mesmos, de como mudar os nossos piores defeitos para darmos os melhores exemplos e de como aprendermos a ter mais coragem. Isto mesmo! Ser Pai ou Mãe é o maior acto de coragem que alguém pode ter, porque é expor-se a todo tipo de dor, principalmente a da incerteza de estar a agir correctamente e a do medo de perder algo tão amado. Perder? Como? Não é nosso, recordam-se? Foi apenas um empréstimo".

"Son is a being that has been borrowed for a crash course in how to love someone other than ourselves, changing our worst faults to give the best examples and learn how to have more courage. That's right! Being a parent is the greatest act of courage that one can have, because it is exposed to all kinds of pain, especially the uncertainty to be acting properly and the fear of losing something so dear. losing how? We do not, remind it? it was just a loan. "

A man's age is something impressive, it sums up his life: maturity reached slowly and against many obstacles, illnesses cured, griefs and despairs overcome, and unconscious risks taken; maturity formed through so many desires, hopes, regrets, forgotten things, loves. A man's age represents a fine cargo of experiences and memories.

Be careful with the way you get it. For the first time I can not agree with that thougt.

I love what I have and know there are a lot that dont have the same as me. What I want, I may get or not but still are people living miserable lifes with a lot of money and CP I know of some that wanted to be as happy as I am.

I wouldn`t change my life, my friends, my family for nothing for much I wanted to have it. I wouldnt change myselfe only for winning some race.:)

Money and griffe objects can trigger a very insane and ilogical reaction. I am no different only understand the best things of life are free because we must sacrifice so much for them. The ilusion of money and possession may be one of them or may not.

I agree with you Duke. I guess it is the idiosyncosies of the English Language. The written word or paragraph can be interpretted in so many different ways. That is why we often misinterpret and cause an argument by what we write, yet the meaning of the writer is often not what the reader interprets it to mean.

Loniless is a kind of strange feeling, no matter what we think we should feel, in the end we found ourselves seeing the world in more vivid colors and earing our own thoughts we couldn't ear for so long.

Loniless is the end of a world that we were constructing and the begining of a new one, if we have the courage to keep going with our own life.

For a while we have a brand new blank page, where we can paint (or not) anything. I will paint what is in my soul... I will keep going.

Listen to the Exhortation of the Dawn!
Look to this Day!
For it is Life, the very Life of Life.
In its brief course lie all the
Verities and Realities of your Existence.
The Bliss of Growth,
The Glory of Action,
The Splendor of Beauty;
For Yesterday is but a Dream,
And To-morrow is only a Vision;
But To-day well lived makes
Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,
And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope.
Look well therefore to this Day!

People look at your life and see things as a big deal that aren't a big deal to you. What I mean is, the chapter breaks are different for me. What people think about any stuff it's so inaccurate, usually, but the fact is, I wouldn't want it to be accurate. Because it's my truth. When I was younger, it was more important to me to come off well. Now, I just want to try to be good at what I do. Because what I do become part of what I am. And trying to be better everyday is part of my GOAL, to myselfe and in my consciousness, nothing else. I only ask others what I am ready to give them. I would never ask for something, I am not ready to give and I always do unto others as I want for myselfe. There were times when a word of a man worth a lot and the honor of a banker was the strengh of his bank, good old times.

Winning it's an all time thing. You don't win once in a while. Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is. Unfortunately winning and keep winning needs different postures. Winning for the first time needs talent, to repeat takes character. I don't know though if I am a winner or I just hate to lose.

The highest position on a democracy is for definition the CITIZENSHIP. That will define, between equals, the direction that democracy must follow.

The strengh of the people is not in the weapons but in the clarify mind of the majoraty that must be very carefull to not be transformed on a dictactorship of the majority against minorities

The people is everywhere. It is in the army, in the public services and in the religions. The respect for each other is our main strengh. So it was in Greece, that a king died with his soldiers and will be in the future.

The CITIZEN is everywhere, very conscient of his roll and of it's freedom. It is defending other's freedom that we will keep ours.

When we are on a team, the victory of the team is the victory of all. It is our duty to achieve a kind of commitment, that personal victories belongs to the team and the team belongs to everyone. And if a bunch of people is not a team then it is a mob and in a mob there are no personal victories or mob victories.

The United States, if you read the 'Federalist Papers,' is about disagreement. It's about pitting faction against faction, divided government, checks and balances. The hero in American political tradition is the man who stands up to the mob - not the mob itself. But that tradition spread to the world like fire in the wood.

Most of the stories about the American heroes, starts with the hero alone and finishes with a team, well organized by the sense of duty of each to everyone and of everyone to each and in the end is the team that wins.

The difference is in a mob the most eared sentence is: "It wasn't me". There are no duties or bonds between the members of a mob. In fact there are no us in a mob, only the shame of have been there.

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. We Need Each Other

I think I caught a glimpse of a life without friends
Bitter, empty, hollow, dark and lonely
We never meant to hurt each other so can’t we trust again
And take it as a chance to keep on growing

Well, I don’t know why it doesn’t come easy
But I know that we could be happy
If we’d only learn to love

Oh, oh, we need each other so what’s the fighting for
Oh, oh, we need each other, please don’t close the door
Oh, oh, we need each other through all the highs and lows
Oh, oh, we need each other 'cause no one’s meant to be alone

Life revolves around the need of having someone
Causing every complicated feeling
Oh and I don’t want to lose you so there is nothing wrong with
Telling me what you need to keep our love strong

Oh, it’s just a part of being a family
Taking the good with the bad and the ugly
If we could only learn to love

Oh, oh, we need each other so what’s the fighting for
Oh, oh, we need each other, please don’t close the door
Oh, oh, we need each other through all the highs and lows
Oh, oh, we need each other and I don't wanna be alone

Oh, oh we need each other, fathers and mothers
Oh, oh we need each other, all your sisters and brothers
Oh, oh we need each other, we need friends and lovers
Oh, oh we need each other

I need you, you need me
'Cause that’s the way it’s meant to be
I need you, we need each other
I don’t want to be alone

I need you, you need me
'Cause that’s the way it’s gotta be
I need you, we need each other

One need to be very interested on computers to real follow the messages, that have so many ways of writing, because we are of so many countries and some message needed a decoder to be understood.

The IMAGE, well the image is there, makes much better understanding and avoid confusion between similar words. For a guy that is slightly dyslexic like me, the use of images and the check spelling is a real wonder. This was for Anne but can be for CP or to all of us.

Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle.

The world you desired can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours. Take it. Never give up, keep on fighting.

I am alone the way I am feeling.

I am alone in my intentions..

I am alone in my desires and efforts to achieve them.

So I must be stronger ...

I will never give up.

I have this fixed idea that we have a gratitude debt with Bok and FreeDC and was thinking what could we do to a friend that gives us so much information and his daily work to Boinc Community.

I think we should give something in return. I will create on my calendar the FreeDC day. A day for crunching to FreeDC team and pay a bit of all the times that I go to FreeDC stats or copy paste the information.

From FreeDC, I can see that our daily credit is improving and very soon I will know that we are in the first place (I wish).

What do you say a day to say thanks to FreeDC, helping the team in any project. I am starting posting there also to give a push. It is a small push but is of good will.

FreeDC is more important for this team than we might think and is very important in our freedom choice. The stronger FreeDC is, the stronger we are. Our fate is connected.

Thanks Bok and FreeDC.

Thanks Bok that is very kind of you.

It is kind of egoistic logic from me, we need a stronger FreeDC stats, to have a real choice on challenges and messages. We need to go to FreeDC and do all without using other platforms as we do in the challenges right now.

I would like to know more but the only thing I can do is post some Pictures or Music or even one or another sentence. I wouldn't know where to start but a stronger and more efficient (powerful) FreeDC would be very nice for SETI USA but not only for SETI USA but to all Boinc community.

Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy.

He that cannot forgive others breaks the bridge over which he must pass himself; for every man has need to be forgiven.

All truly great thoughts are conceived by walking.

As people are walking all the time, in the same spot, a path appears.

So get mad, forgive and walk, the bridges, ideas and new paths will appear on the right time, when is the right time?
When you are ready to listen to your own voice.

The words that have never been said

I am so wrong most of the time that I always try to remember that I must forgive others for small mistakes and that is what I always try to do.

Don't expect much of me. I only can give what I have and sometimes I have nothing or very few. It is the damn life taking the patience and even the words. Those words that I always wanted to say, "the words that have never been said".

And this is the tittle of my book, the book of life, "that has never been written" because I am not able to find the right word and so sudden has it started the book vanishes again from the imaginary pages in which I was writing it.

In this world is easy to lose dreams and projects. To lose life and keep on living. To lose even death and keep on dying.

Tomorrow I will wake up again and will keep searching for the "words that never been said" and will write them on the imaginary pages of the book "that have never been written" and the right word that never comes ... never comes and one more day went by taking the right word that was so near.

If you had purchased $1,000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1,000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1,000 of Delta Air Lines stock, you would have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of wine one year ago, drunk all the wine, then turned in the bottles for the recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Zarathustra , also referred to as Zartosht , was an ancient Iranian prophet and religious poet. The hymns attributed to him, the Gathas, are at the liturgical core of Zoroastrianism.

The date of Zoroaster, the date of composition of the Old Avestan gathas, is unknown. Classical writers such as Plutarch proposed dates prior to 6000 BC. Dates proposed in scholarly literature diverge widely, between the 18th and the 6th centuries BC.

In the Gathas, Zoroaster sees the human condition as the mental struggle between aša (truth) and druj (lie). The cardinal concept of aša—which is highly nuanced and only vaguely translatable—is at the foundation of all Zoroastrian doctrine, including that of Ahura Mazda (who is aša), creation (that is aša), existence (that is aša) and as the condition for Free Will.

The purpose of humankind, like that of all other creation, is to sustain aša. For humankind, this occurs through active participation in life and the exercise of constructive thoughts, words and deeds.

Elements of Zoroastrian philosophy entered the West through their influence on Judaism and Middle Platonism and have been identified as one of the key early events in the development of philosophy. Among the classic Greek philosophers, Heraclitus is often referred to as inspired by Zoroaster's thinking.

Zarathustra Quotes

“Doing good to others is not a duty, it is a joy, for it increases our own health and happiness.”

“Let us be such as help the life of the future”

“Do not hold grain waiting for higher prices when people are hungry”

“Turn yourself not away from three best things: Good Thought, Good Word, and Good Deed.”

“He who sows the ground with care and diligence acquires a greater stock of religious merit than he could gain by the repetition of ten thousand prayers”

“Form no covetous desire, so that the demon of greediness may not deceive thee, and the treasure of the world may not be tasteless to thee.”

“Suffer no anxiety, for he who is a sufferer of anxiety becomes regardless of enjoyment of the world and the spirit, and contraction happens to his body and soul.”

“Taking the first footstep with a good thought the second with a good word and the third with a good deed I entered Paradise”

You should read Zarathustra to know what he spoke and how he influenced the world and all other religions.

Zarathustra the first man (that we know) to have only one God, the very well known Ahura Mazda.
