I got on boinc stats today and went to see how much work I did and it showed a -45k credits. How is it possible to get negative points?:(

Probably a split cross project id. Chances are it will bounce up and down every day or so until it is fixed. I believe the correct way to fix it is to:

1. Identify which project(s) have a different cross project id than all the others.
2. Attach at least one computer to both sets of projects
3. Crunch a few WUs on each project
4. After a few days, the CPID should get updated

Note: You always have to use the exact same email address when signing up for projects. BOINC has no tools for correcting CPIDs so asking the project admins to merge/fix it won't help. If the project no longer is up and running, there isn't much you can do about it. Bok hangs out around here and may be able to tweak the stats on Free-DC, but I'm not sure about that.

Hello Brandon,

Just to be clear, with the exception of a credit adjustment made by a project you cannot lose credits. A split CPID can usually be fixed, it just takes some time.

Edit: I did a search at BOINCstats and there are 17 users listed with the name Branden although I cannot tell how many of them are you.

Ok so if I just wait those credits will come back? Cuz I just started on this new comp and this is the comp that lost the credits. All it left me with now after four days is 500 points for einstien lol

Correct. Remember to follow the advice Slicker posted earlier and it should clear up.

I noticed on your BOINCstats page associated with the CPID 7abfecbd2041ea3b4c8d33d0d688c257 (Link (http://boincstats.com/search/all_projects.php?cpid=7abfecbd2041ea3b4c8d33d0d688 c257&type=inteam)) that you have 2 projects that are retired. If those projects are associated with a different email address then the one you are currently using it will be a problem. In that case you will always have a split CPID since the developers of BOINC have never worked on a way to correct this.

With Free-DC stats this issue has a fix but you need to contact Bok via PM either on this forum (Link (http://www.setiusa.us/member.php?8-Bok)) or at the Free-DC forum (Link (http://www.free-dc.org/forum/)) and ask him, very nicely, to make a CPID correction for you. Be aware that this fix will only work for Free-DC stats. All BOINC stats sites use their own databases and so do not share stats data.

You can just let me know here and I'll fix them for you. Give me your old CPID and new one and I can sort it out on the retired projects easily enough..

I went through all of my projects and checked the CPID and they were all the same and i just lost another 300 points today. Would it help if you could log into my boinc and look at everything to make sure everything looks right?

If all projects have the same CPID then its just a matter of time for things to straighten out. Unless of course there is something I'm missing. Then BOK or one of the other BOINC Gurus will shed some light on this.

Ok im hoping it will straighten itself out or maybe someone else can look at my account that knows more than me about boinc and find where i went wrong.

And the negatives continue for a second day:(

Not sure, but could it be this account?

10bb764b6d91bdff92f4fadd227439fb (http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=userbycpid&cpid=10bb764b6d91bdff92f4fadd227439fb)

If so, running a single host with all those projects on it, plus whatever it is you're currently running, should let things fix themselves in a day or two. Don't even have to allow work, simply set those projects to NoNewTasks and hit the update button for each.
