Some time ago I upgraded my *cough* Dell 730x motherboard to a refurbished Gigabyte X58A-UD3R so I could have the option to OC CPU & RAM.

When I started crunching with it I noticed that my HD 5830 appeared Twice in BOINC Manager. I thought it was some kind of bug in BM and since I was crunching Moo, I just ignored it. However, today I started crunching MW & Collatz and both projects are running two instances. The wu's are completing without errors.

Note that in Windows Hardware manager only one 5830 is listed. Same with CCC.

Any ideas??

Something in your cc_config file causing the behavior?

Here is what in my config

<cc_config>
<options>
<start_delay>30</start_delay>
<network_test_url>http://www.yahoo.com/</network_test_url>
</options>
</cc_config>

It just occurred to me to try the <ignore_ati_dev>1</ignore_ati_dev> option for cc_config. Seems to to be working. I hope this fixes the low credits this box has been getting from Collatz. The card is OC'd to 950Mhz but DrPop's 5830 has doubled my output....

Yep, by my calculations my desktop is showing an increase of ~12%. Thx for asking.
