Current set up as of today and a gpu to give away later in Nov

My 580 just here and my 2 590s and tesla will arrive on nov 22nd

I have 9 total PCIe slots between all my machines and 16 CPU cores. 8 @ 5.8GHz (i7)**, 2 @ 3.2GHz (laptop)*, 4 @ 2.9GHz (partner's desktop)**, and 2 @ 2.4Gz (old desktop)*

Currently this brings my gpu farm to:
1 580*
3 560TI**
2 8800M*
1 250GTS*
Total GPUs: 7 (4 fast, DP/SP math & 3 slow SP math)

By nov 22 it will be:
1 c2050 Tesla (my core2 desktop)*
2 590s (4 GPUs) (my i7 machine)**
1 580 (my core2 desktop)*
3 560TI (core2quad)**
2 8800M (laptop)*
Total GPUs: 11 (9 fast, DP/SP math & 2 slow SP math)

1 250GTS ( left over - no slots for card ) I'll be giving this to a team member in need of a GPU at that time

*=dedicated to boinc 24/7/365
**=dedicated to boinc 12-18hrs/day

I'll be giving that 250 to a teammate who either their doesn't have a gpu or very few.

I just want to make sure it is someone loyal to the team and who will use it well

Thanks DAD you are a good man but I am a Musketeer as all of you know and I have a radeon HD 5450 and am doing another computer for a long time now.

My main concerne now is with some bad situation in my country. I hope someonelse profit and give a good use on your gift.

We are almost like Greece without the riots, we are a peacefull country but there are some really bad situations on friends and neighbors mainly very old people. That goes to money to buy medicines or some people that are in need of food. Nothing is very much not even my money. We are a country of old people and this situation the politics puts us is quite difficult.

It is a very long story but IMF is here controling the politicians and some people from Europe is here also. They are always talking in billions and billions. I am not an economist but the situation in Portugal is very bad.

OMG I'm pissed! this stupid 580 takes.. THREE.. count them.. THREE 6pin power connectors... GRRRR... and that 2 core desktop of mine only has 2 6pin. I was able to use an adapter to combine 2 4 pin into 1 6pin... so I got the 580 working in it... still.. LAME... no consumer grade GPU should need to hog that much power

but the instant I converted another 2 4 pins to 1 6 pin to run the 250... the system wouldn't power on.. the PS just made a click noise and I got an amber light vs a green power light...

Suffice to say the PS will not work in this unit as this is where my telsa is going to go in with that 580. So it looks like a new PS is in order later this month

Better to find out now than watch your PSU short out.
