Ohhhh man. Christmas already! I love ASRock mobos too, usually very good price / performance ratio. Also. . . Usually you candidate mod the 6950 into a 6970 as well. ;) BIOS mod is all it takes on most of them to unlock the cores. Not sure how much it saves, but the 2GB version won't make much of a crunching difference over the 1GB version. However you may see some difference in games, so the 2GB is a good choice for that. Also, the 6xxx series scales in CF much better than the older series did. (For gaming)

Aye DrPop... was 210 for each 6950 2G and since i look at things from a gamers side is the reason i went for it... will be editing the flash for the extra shader core after a few month but i would be careful on flashing with a 6970 flash since it will push the memory way beyond specs but the gpu should handle the overclock without issues... Need to crunch with em for a few month to see if they will make it or not lol...

Need advice dont know what to do... Went to bed last nite telling the wife what i had done and she was suprised that the price was that low.. OMG i was expecting the "HOW MUCH DID YOU SPEND" with me making a loud thump as i hit the ground from the right hook. So told her i scaled back on the motherboard and cpu for the extra video card.. My thinking was that i could sell the i5 once ivy came out hoping that i could afford a 6core version if they released one but now im thinking i should of went with the i7 2600k...
So should i cancel the order and get the i7.. and will it be that much better then the I5... Will it make me happier for years to come without ivy? or atleast give it a year till next turkey day for a sweet deal on the ivy.. ugh i cant decide..
what to do... what to do....

I'm going to put this under Deals and Savings as well but man this would look sweet in your new build. You could push that cpu to over 4. no problem. :p
Or save the money for a third video card. Perhaps a gtx 460 to grab some DiRT work. :-bd That would make your one box a million a day cruncher. 8->8->

Wow the price of liquid cooling has become much more affordable then they used to be... Never done liquid cooling always worried about spilling some on the motherboard and frying it... Gonna have to read up on this I usually dont overclock stuff till later on but it is fun :P Aye the memory was such a good deal and running at 1.5v was a plus so i should have allot of head room in overclocking with a small voltage bump..

I think Pop bought this one a month or so ago from Fry's. Or was it the 70? I forget, but he could tell ya how it was to install.
