View Full Version : WU Crunch Time Increases, But Percentage Complete Stands Still

On my second computer (same OS ver), the elapsed time increases (along with the remaining time) while the progress indicator remains at the same percentage. Suspending the WU to force the next to start will sometimes resolve the issue. Other times, a full system restart is necessary (but may occasionally take several restarts) to resolve. The issue seems to occur after the transition from one WU to another.

That progress indicator is just an estimation. And quite a few projects do not or cannot properly update the progress indicator. Also, on a few projects, suspending a wu or restarting BOINC Manager will cause the wu to start over at the beginning because they do not implement checkpointing.

All but WUProp exhibit this behavior. Once BM starts running poperly the remaining time (estimated!) counts down again and the progress (picks up where it left off) and seem to work. The settings between the 2 computers are identical, and only this one seems to have this issue. lol

This behavior is fairly common. "All but freehal" is kind of vague. There are about a hundred active projects. Which in particular are you talking about?
