Edit: All CPUs have 22nm lithography and are scheduled to be released in April

Nice.
Question: K = unlocked, T = ?? & S = ??
S is probably standard or something like that.:confused: T is certainly for a low Watt part - look at the low TDP.
Probably very good performance for 77W on the biggest one. ;)

OK that makes sense. I was just too lazy to hunt down the info.....

Oh i also forgot to mention all those CPUs are for socket 1155
EDIT:Extensions:
K = unlocked BClk multiplier
S = energy-efficient
T = low-power (lower clock-speed/core-count)
Nice, thanks. And Intel is finally going to release a "new" chipset, as in one that's more than basically a re-badge. Finally will have native USB 3.0 support, etc...sheesh it seems to me they were awful lazy in the chipset dept. the last couple years. Glad to see that will be remedied with the Ivy Bridge launch!
AMD better get their act together on the CPU Watts usage. It's looking more and more like the only saving grace for AMD is going to be their Interlogos and stacking more and more cores on that chip ... if only the G34 mobo was same price as an Intel S.B. or I.B. mobo, then it would be an easier decision. ;)

Only 4 cores? I thought IB had an 8 core coming out. Anyone seen a price range for these chips?

These CPU part numbers are direct replacement for the current 4 core i7 Sandy Bridge models. There will be an updated Ivy Bridge-E version months later, which will replace the current 6 core Sandy Bridge-E CPUs. They may perhaps entertain an 8 core model in the higher end "-E" versions, but I doubt they will need to. Their performance with 6 cores is already very high. They will probably save any higher core count for the XEON line, at least until AMD gets a much improved version of BD out that can actually compete with their current 6 core lineup. Then we may see an 8 core model so Intel can blow them out if the water again. :p

Dunno if you guys saw this (http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1773/1/), but it looks like it'll be awhile before AMD makes anything faster. And it should be pointed out this CPU was made with 32nm lithography, which is exactly the same as AMD's lolbulldozer
The CPU benchmark results in 3DMark Vantage are impressive looking as the Intel Core i7-3960 Sandy Bridge-E processor dominates all of the others in the chart by a good distance. This is also the first stock processor that we have ever had break the 40,000 point mark in this application. The Intel Core i7-3960X is more than twice as fast as the AMD FX-8150 Bulldozer processor!

All IB-E models will use the LGA 2011 socket not the LGA 1155 ---> http://legitreviews.com/news/11889/

Yep, exactly - the IB-E will be an upgrade for the new SB-E...and Intel could enable the 2 currently disabled cores on the silicon for the 8 core model Mike029 wants if the feel the "need" to. :D Otherwise...have to get a XEON for all those 8 cores to be working. :p

You said it best, unless AMD get's it's act together and threatens Intel, they are going to hold back.

I know im so sad for amd right now... I have always been an intel cpu guy but had many friends that went AMD and was very happy since it drove the prices down on intel... PLEASE AMD recover soon it is why i purchased two AMD video cards whatever i can do to keep them a float...
