How do you guys get the Badges to Stack 1 on top of the other next to a bigger thing like a Project Signature ???

Bok

Just add a &rows=x parameter onto the end to regulate it. Default is 1, so if you do 10 or something it'll stack vertically. :) rows=3 would give a box type effect.

Not understanding on where to put the &rows=x ??? ... Thanks

Should be http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=60&rows=10

Something like that. Running off my phone right now but I think that's correct.

Back at my hotel now, so I can look a little closer... are you putting those in manually ? That's what it looks like. I only do the badges for Primegrid and Yoyo as a true signature (as WCG don't export the requisite data..) so for you in Primegrid you would use this

http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=103&rows=16

which is

{IMG}http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=103&rows=16 (http://www.setiusa.us/view-source:http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=103&rows=15){/img} using [] instead of {}

You can add yoyo by plugging in proj=yoy&id=xxxx (whatever your id is).

This is what I have in my sig to generate the badges.

http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=96755&rows=16
http://www.seti-germany.de/wcg/badge_spingadus%5BMM%5D_1.png
http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=yoy&id=26875&rows=10

I've put each on separate lines for ease of reading, but there should be no <return> after each line.

The WCG badge line may have to be regenerated at the SG site.

Thanks Guys but not really what I'm looking for, what I really want to do right now is to move the License Plate to the left of the Badges, Left/Besides ... Don't know if that can be done or not ???

I have my project list image to the left of my badges. Is that what you want? If so, here is the exact copy of my sig. You have to make sure no carriage return <return> exists between each IMG tag. Just one big run on sentence if you will that wraps to the next line.

Yes I know how to do that but still want the Badges to be like they are now but to the right of the License Plate, that's where the problem is trying to do that. All in 1 line is no problem to do ...

Hey Ste\/e,

I couldn't get it to work with the individual images so I made a single graphic from them....

Thanks, that's what I'm looking for, buuuuutttt unless I have some sort of Code & I can change the Badge colors as they change then it's not doing me much good, thanks for the effort though ... >:D< ... Just trying to take up as little of a footprint as I can, big Sig's Bug me ... lol

Oops! Forgot to put the sig code in. Took me a while to get this down, but it works.

Just copy and paste into your sig and substitute the IMG lines for your own. Your Michigan IMG is first and badges at the bottom. Basically, its a table. The empty lines are just padding to push the badge images down since the table aligns them to the top and we want them on the bottom. Just add or subtract the empty lines until the badges line up with the bottom of your Michigan license plate.

Yeah, I thought that would be the case.....

BTW: That post of BOKS was using your PG user ID. He also has a way of showing those badges in a single horizontal row.

To get this ---> http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=103&cols=20
Use this ---> http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=103&cols=20

See I just replaced rows=16 with cols=20 (at the end of the line above) I used 20 to make room for future badges but it is up to you.

And one last thing. All user references on Free-DC uses their CPID which for you is 13a87c3a303bcdca4ba0ed600daebb6b

How do you even get badges?

You buy them from me ... hahahaha j/k

You run the Projects that have them, WCG, YoYo, PrimeGrid, GPU Grid all have Badges, don't know of any others. Most of the Projects that have them you have to run each sub-project to get that particular Badge up to a Certain amount of Credits for each Level of the Badge ...

One quick and easy way to get badges is to copy them from STE\/E's, or someone else's signature, e.g. ;

right click on STE\/E's PrigeGrid badges and copy the url;

http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=103

Go to your account in PrimeGrid http://www.primegrid.com/orig/home.php and note your User Id no.

In my case this is 3639

Swap the 103 with 3639 is STE\/E's url and you get http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=3639

put the img tags to get;

http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=3639[/img ]

or [img]http://stats.free-dc.org/badges.php?proj=pgrid&id=3639 if you leave out the space at the end of img

Try it with your own User Id, and it may work with other badges.

Looks like the wcg ones are one image per badge and not as useful/easy as the primegrid one?

Maybe BOK might be able to come up with a solution as the badge stacking comes from his Free-DC site. So BOK, any ideas??? Hint hint, nudge nudge..... Say no more.

Unfortunately not until they export sub-project data. As it is there is no way to tell badge levels based on the data exported.

There is a sig from SETI.germany or somewhere where they do individual wgets for each user. Thousands of connections over to the WCG site. It looks great, but I won't do that kind of thing. I have asked many times for the data and they promised it too, but it's never been done..:(

As an aside, I've been told Radioactive@Home and Enigma@Home ate implementing badges. I need to follow up on that...

OK BOK, thx.

Errr, hmmmm...... Question: What would be the minimum requirements to do the SG thing say from one of my computers? My Up/Down speeds are rather high for cable. Running torrents I can do sustained uploads to the net in excess of 140 KiloBytes (not bits) per second. But I would prefer to keep something like that "In-house" if possible since I'm not a commercial service.

Bok

Anybody could do it, that's not really the issue. If someone ran a script that pulled thousands of web pages from one of my sites, I'd block the IP as anyone should. It's just really ethical.

They only do about 1000 users or so right now, but I try to do everyone, so it would involve 300,000 connections every time. MUCH better if they provided a global file with all the data in it. Then it's one connection each time. That's how Primegrid and Yoyo do it. Gpugrid is slightly different given it's based on overall credit only, do the data by default is in the exported XML file already.
