This would have never happened if they had longer hours :D
Can i get a show of hands who needed to make an emergency trip to BestBuy at 1am for a computer fan, cable, etc.

The thing is as soon as the stolen units get used they will "Phone Home" and all such items are shipped to retail stores with serial numbers noted on shipping manifest. Considering the total loss to Bestbuy exceeds the legal limit for misdemeanor theft, anyone in possession of one of those could face felony charges. Pretty friggin stupid to own one of those.

I'm guessing the folks that stole them don't care, the person that ends up with them off places like craigslist are stuck.

Very true. Which is the reason I will never use Craigslist. At least with eBay there is a paper trail the authorities can follow.

I was concerned about the 5870's I bought on CL, but fortunately they worked out (other than the goofy reporting, lol).
