Cassandra's Getting Pimped!

It's fun time now cause guess what? Cassandra (my rig) is getting a little more pimp!

Since my brother upgraded his GPU with the move over he gave me his old GTX 460. I'll be swapping out my GTS 250 so she'll now be packing two 460s! You know what this means? SLI time! This also means I need a new PSU so out with the CMPSU-650TX (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020&Tpk=CMPSU-650T) and in with the CMPSU-850TXV2 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139022)! But wait it doesn't end there! I'm also adding this little gizmo (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811996004). *Squeals with glee*

When you use this program called LCD Smartie (http://lcdsmartie.sourceforge.net/) I'm told you can make it do almost anything!

The pimp upgrade is a success! In addition to the PSU, GTX 460, SLI Config, and front Panel LCD I also got a red case LED bar from my brother left over from his new build to brighten mine up. I also took out my bottom case fan to make room for the new PSU cables and took out the top case fan and replaced it with the LED fan I had on the side panel so I could see in the case. It sucks that Cooler Master doesn't sell HAF 922 side panels with a window. :( Any way heres the results!

She's one sexy bitch now ain't she? lol

If only the LCD came in red, all that blue is ruining my color scheme! lol On the bright side I plan to make my next rig blue, when ever that will be... The manufacture software was complete crap despite Windows 7 being available for over two years let alone vista, the damn thing is meant to run with XP. There was hope though! It was a pain to get working but there was some open source software (LCD Smartie) that did the trick. It can tell me just about anything I want it to with the right plugins. I was disappointed though, it had SETI and Folding stat support built in but no Boinc? Not even a plug in? Aww... :(
