It has been a looooooooong time since I crunched S@H, and I need to crunch again for MMs. Things have changed quite a bit, and I need some help.

All the GPU apps on the lunatics site are for ATI (both setiathome_enhanced and astropulse). I assume this is because there is no app for AP on nvidia (at all), and because there is no optimized app for setiathome_enhanced on nvidia.

I am only interested in using my nvidia cards for S@H (for now). I guess the only thing I can do to improve performance, is to run multiple tasks per GPU to improve load/usage. Do I have this right so far?

So, I need help. I need an app info for running multiple CUDA tasks per GPU, on windows machines. It looks like SETI has three different apps for CUDA setiathome_enhanced. I guess I need the app_info for the "6.10 (cuda_fermi)", as these are all 5xx GPUs.

Get the Lunatics installer and let it do it for you.

Yeah, those are the lunatics folks I referenced in the original post. All the GPU apps are for ATI.

I had to run out the door, so I didn't clarify my last post.

The 0.39 installer has a new cuda binary, so it will have an app_info section for cuda. My Nvidia gpu got much better numbers once I installed it. To be honest, I didn't do that much testing and I can't say if the binary does anything new or special, but I did see an increase after I installed it. It can't hurt to test it out.

Crunch3r has some opti S@H apps (http://www.boincunited.org/opt_sah.php) but the hyperlink for the DL is currently broken. Maybe drop him a line at his forum (http://www.boincunited.org)?

Heh. I was not clear. I am not looking for optimized apps. I am looking for an app_info that will allow me to run multiple CUDA tasks at one time on a GPU.

Right, but his opti app will come with an app_info file which, assuming its nVidia, can be used as a template. See? Or you could just use the opti app to avoid having to edit the app_info file.

I don't believe there opt apps for S@H CUDA.

Edit: FWIW, I tried downloading one of the AP ATI apps from lunatics, just to try an leverage the app_info.xml file. It has no app_info.xml file. Not sure how it works then. Very odd.

If you just want an app_info to look at, here is the best I can do. It's what I currently use for S@H. You'll have to mod it a bit as this is what is installed with the Lunatics .39 install executable. Hope that helps.

It has been a looooooooong time since I crunched S@H, and I need to crunch again for MMs. Things have changed quite a bit, and I need some help.

Make sure you have backup projects for your gpus. Seti, without a doubt, is one of the most frustrating projects I've run. Slow downloads, project backoffs, server offline and Scheduled Maintenance every Tues - Thurs. All that makes it quite a struggle to keep the gpus busy. Good luck with this one Z, it with require all your patience.
