Hello everyone! I'm new here and looking for tips. I have a 2011 MacBook Pro with 750GB hard drive and plenty of memory to run 24/7 online. Anybody have any advice?

Have you checked out the projects on the BOINC site? Find something that interests you and crunch away. I like World Community Grid, personally, but there are lots of options. Good luck with your choice :)

+1 And a question. What make/model graphics processor does that lappy have?

Nice to have you onboard!. Remember to keep your lappy cool. Primaboinca (http://www.primaboinca.com/) will give you the most bang for your buck I think, But if you have a specific interest in Medical, Space Science, Mathematics or anything else, we can probably recommend something.

Welcome to the team! What you crunch is totally up to you and your intrests, but we usually have a race going on. If your intrested you can always help there. Actually anything you crunch helps the team so look around and enjoy. :D
